„The energy transition is a key driver for a sustainable future and is shaped by the dynamic interplay of private sector initiative, public responsibility, and political leadership. As an individual and a lawyer, I am motivated to develop legally sound solutions that enable this transformation.”
Christina Wockel studied law at the University of Passau with a focus on foreign law and comparative law. At the same time, she completed a distance learning Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in English Law at the University of London and obtained a certificate in Spanish Law at the Universidad Castilla La Mancha in Toledo, Spain.
During her legal clerkship, Christina Wockel focused on environmental and climate protection law, working for the German Federal Environmental Agency in Dessau and a boutique law firm in Düsseldorf specializing in environmental law. She also explored the innovative field of legal tech as a legal tech engineer at a mid-sized law firm. The final stage of the legal clerkship took her to the Baltics, where she first dove into the subject matter of International Arbitration as part of the international conference “Baltic Arbitration Days” and accompanied consumer lawsuits on the diesel emissions scandal at an international law firm.
Following this, Christina worked at a Hamburg-based law firm, focusing on international arbitration and litigation across diverse areas, including maritime law, emissions trading in shipping, foreign trade law, and prospectus liability.
Christina Wockel joined Aecoute° in October 2024 to advise companies and public bodies on all energy, climate and environmental issues.
