„Today and in the years to come, the energy industry is facing great and ever new challenges. I help to find practical solutions with my legal contributions.”
Dr. Konrad Hummel has been working as a lawyer specializing in comprehensive legal advice for the energy sector since 2002.
After studying law in Hanover and Marburg/Lahn, Konrad Hummel worked as a salaried lawyer in the Frankfurt office of the international law firm Clifford Chance from 1997 to 1999. In 1999, he returned to the University of Hanover, where he worked as a research assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Faber until 2002. In 2002, he received his doctorate in law with a dissertation on general administrative law.
In 2002, Konrad Hummel turned his attention to the exciting and diverse field of energy law — initially as a salaried lawyer in the Berlin office of Becker Büttner Held. He continued his work with and for the energy industry when he set up his own firm together with Dr. Philipp Boos in 2009. He worked at Boos Hummel & Wegerich until the end of 2024.
Konrad Hummel joined Aecoute° on January 1, 2025, again together with Philipp Boos. He advises energy supply companies and municipalities on a wide range of energy law issues.
Since 2004, Konrad Hummel has been involved as a lecturer for the distance learning course Energy Management at the University of Koblenz. There he introduces non-lawyers to energy law through his study letters and a classroom course. He has been a voluntary member of the governing board of the RUDOLF KLEFISCH-Stiftung, Cologne, since 2017.
