I am interested in how we can design and apply the rules of this transformation in a way that ensures ambitious emission targets are actually met, without losing sight of the stability and affordability of energy supply.”
Peter Ritsema studied law at Humboldt University of Berlin and the University of Amsterdam from 2014 to 2020. He subsequently obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in European Union Law from the University of Amsterdam.
From 2022 to 2024, he completed his legal traineeship (Referendariat) at the Berlin Court of Appeal, with placements at law firms Blomstein Rechtsanwälte and Morrison Foerster, as well as at the German Federal Ministry of Finance (Directorate for European State Aid Law). Following his traineeship, he worked as a research assistant in public law at Hengeler Mueller.
Since October 2025, he has been practising as an Associate at Aecoute° in Berlin.
